Global Warming

Ok, maybe not, but it has been RIDICULOUSLY, INCREDIBLY, UNIMAGINABLY hot this past week. Oh my gosh. It was 107 degrees at 5 o'clock PM today. INSANE! Try practicing outside with full pads and helmets like that. And I haven't even mentioned the humidity. Yesterday morning it was so humid you couldn't see the sun, although there were no clouds in the sky. We were in a cloud.

But no matter how hot it gets, I like it a LOT more then the cold. I will take 100 degree weather over 10 degree weather any day. I would even take 100 degree weather over 40 degree weather. Hot is good, although no rain is not. We are in a drought, and I am not allowed to wash airplanes, heh. Trying to stay busy with other stuff, but yeah.

Ok, I just rambled on about nothing. Sorry to put you through that.

Hey, no problemo, man. I'm glad someone finally put all that into words. I've been too melty and lethargic lately to do it myself. We got to Bible Study last night... and the AC was out. Nooooooooooo. Fortunately it wasn't as hot yesterday as it was on Wednesday (we had an asphyxiation warning, for crying out loud!), but it was miserable for the first hour or so. Then it cooled down... OUTSIDE.

I'm still trying to decide whether I'd rather have extreme heat or extreme cold... I really don't know. At night, I'd rather be cold than hot (those are my dad's genes, there), but of course that only applies down to a certain temperature. :-)

i was thinking about you the other day, eth, when the heat index up here was somewhere around 102 and i was wondering if you actually had football practice in that kind of heat. man, i think i'd rather cancel a practice than have my players collapsing on the field. ;-) i know what you mean about it was so humid you couldn't see the sky; it was like that the other day up here too.

ditto about liking hot weather better than cold; i'm naturally a cold person (haha...that sounds funny) so in the winter, i usually freeze to death. my feet are pretty much ice blocks all winter. ;-) how cold does it get in north carolina in the winter? *wants to visit*
