So this past week my music tastes really took a shift in genre. I seriously doubt if any of ya'll recognize these titles, or even the artists, but since I like these songs the best this week, here they are:
1) Crank That (Soulja Boy)
2 Like This (Mims)
3) Blame on Me (Akon)
4) Bartender (T-Pain)
5) Me Love (Sean Kingston)
See what hanging out with all my black friends is doing to me?! ;-) No, it has to do with football. It's football music. Crank up the bass, roll down the windows, and oh baby. It's rap time! ;-)
So, all those comments to prove that I am obviously not *that* into the whole rap thing. I just listen to it on the radio. ;-) See, there is still hope for me (although I basically know all these songs by heart, now, lol.)

I've been listening to more rap lately too. I couldn't give you any names (it's just what comes on) and I couldn't say why, exactly, but I think it has something to do with having the windows down.
So...I don't know that I should say anything at all...but I can't help myself! I just listened to Crank That...and it's so obnoxious. And the Akon song (like all of his other ones) is so repetitive. I must say I prefer baseball music much better...stuff like "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" that gets played at Camden Yards every 7th inning (good times). BUT, I'm glad you're enjoying them. ;-)
I seriously hope you saw EA's birthday wishes on the forum. They're a hoot and a half. =)
Oh! And, believe it or not, I'm looking forward to hearing about your game on Friday. All I know is that you won and it was a shutout. Yay!

the black-eyed peas aren't bad either, but they're more R&B and less straight-up rap.

It was quite amusing. Apparently, one of those songs really annoys her, and coming here reminded her of them. :-P And now it's stuck in her head, lol.

you know what i just realized? the tarheels have that blue hat with that cute little foot with a black circle on the heel! those are the hats that people wear just 'cuz they're so cool looking! whoa! the heels rock. =P
They are my favorite college basketball and baseball team!! They have gone to the NCAA World Series twice in a row, and lost, and their basketball team won the national championship 3-4 years ago, and went to the semi-finals this year. Just send an e-mail to KB that says "GO HEELS, SMACK THE PACK" and see what happens...

Eth, I think you should know that I just got back in from throwing the football around with my siblings. (It wasn't my idea. Cameron has decided it's time to move from the baseball to the football for the year. I guess that means football season is on us. *insert sarcasm* How thrilling...) ANYWAY...we found a few things out that I thought you'd enjoy knowing.
1) EA is T.O.'s offspring. She got some serious air.
2) Margaret doesn't understand the concept of tackling someone at the waist or lower. She still thinks that whirling people around by their shoulders is the way to take them out.
3) Cameron's got the face mask penalty sign down pat. ("Margaret! That was a facemask! That was my throat!" Haha.)
4) Even with bare feet, I can punt the football pretty darn far.
I promised the kids that sometime soon we'll put on real play clothes and play some good ol' tackle football. I think you should be proud of me. =)
